The NDIA (National Defense Industry Association) local chapter's board meeting was held at the Colorado Spaceport. The spaceport is located in a
regional airport in Adams County, east of Denver (yes, they had pictures of tornados at the airport). It is able to launch things like the Virgin spaceship that have jet
engines for a controlled liftoff and descent... no space launches to date, but they are also working with a Japanese company on future launches. It is quite the drive away from everything...

We got a tour of the tower. At 200 feet tall, it is the largest General Aviation tower in North America, and they are BUSY! They have 600-800 flights a day because they service 3 flight schools
plus the cadets at the Air Force Academy for touch and go practice.

View of Denver International Airport (DIA):

Afraid of heights? Not us! Hanging out on the catwalk around the tower with Denise Brill.

Nice dinner at the onsite restaurant. Tough drive home because the highway was closed. All's well that ends well - fun event!
