So, through happenchance, our vacations always end up including a UNESCO Heritage Site. Except this trip?
We had been talking about it and I said that, well, since we never plan to visit a UNESCO site, maybe this is the trip that breaks the streak. So, off to see
the city museum because I had read it had a really nice walk through of how Luxembourg came to be. As we turn the corner, we started to laugh....

The streak is alive and well!. *grin*. Here's the museum:
Lovely view out the museum windows. But the tour starts below ground!

Hello up there!

If your city is built on a giant rock outcropping, then the story must start here...

Like so many places, the population of Luxembourg has really grown.

"Competitive tax environment" continues to be one of Luxembourg's strengths. We generally refer to them as the "Delaware of Europe".

"Super Europe" was a concept pre EU.

Really liked this statue... found out later it has quite the story behind it. It is a 12th century character called Renart (Reynard) the Fox -
with the earliest known appearance in a Latin poem, "Ysengrimus" (c. 1150).
Renart is a trickster - click here for one of the stories.

And this is as far as we went with the museum. Mike literally didn't fit in this exhibit.
