The garage doors that were installed when the house was built were ill-fitted, poorly insulated, and overall a bit of a problem. The garage got crazy hot in the summer, actually froze during parts of the winter,
and with every incoming storm, the doors would slam against their rails. So, to go with new attic insulation installed in August, we got doors! So far, they fit very well and do not slam when the wind blows. We will
have to wait until this winter to really see thermal improvements, since the weather has been rather mild since we returned from vacation. Mike has joked that we will probably be moving soon - we have started doing home improvements
and are working on hanging up more art. ;>) ...not with the intention of moving, but it's the sort of thing that tends to trigger the universe.
