My helper and I fixed up the icicle lights after last night's wind storm. Much of the zoo ended up inside, some repairs are needed. Amazingly, only 3 icicles were lost when the wire snapped. I guess I gave "spare icicles" now.

Rolling on a Monday......shortly after this, Ziggy saw the rabbit. It was very exciting - with all the snow, we haven't seen the rabbit in a while.

Nighttime outside time - cold, dark, fresh snow, and ....passable. I think it counted . ??

I have had fewer billable hours during the last 2 weeks for consulting, which meant more Ziggy time. Today, my schedule was full! Ziggy says, "You say billable hours like it's a good thing. I hear ignore-land."

This morning's adventure was in the shed! It turns out that if you squeeze past the tools, there is a cat-worthy nook on the bottom shelf. ??

Fresh crinkle paper! There's a substantial intake process before it can become part of the Crinkle Paper Empire.

Ziggy has been trying to figure out how to cram herself into the chair nook in our bathroom cabinets all week. Today, it looks like she gave up and just flopped on the warm floor. My hubby joked of the two legs, "oh no! It looks like there's been a murder in here!" I told him, "Ziggy says, yeah, a murder of heat in this house! Tell Kari to turn up the furnace or turn on the fireplace or something. Freezing to death. All I have is this warm tile" ??

It's not the 15 degree (-9.4 C) weather that was the problem, but the trash truck rumbling around the neighborhood. So, Ziggy decided it would be best to watch the birds from inside.

Ziggy says she should have been able to negotiate on the matter of listening to Handel's Overture to the Messiah in its entirety every year during tree decorating. But I told her I am an old orchestra geek it's non-negotiable.....all 50 tracks. ??

Dot time in the crinkle paper empire is the perfect way to end the day

It's been a tough morning. Ziggy was outsmarted by the rabbit and has been hanging out by the tub since. The rabbit realized that, while Ziggy could get part way under the shed, there are cross supports that she can't get around. So, the entire central space under the shed has room for rabbits but not cats. So, it tested the theory. She stuck her head under the shed, the rabbit ran to the other side of its newly found safe space. She ran around the shed and stuck her head under the other end. The rabbit then ran back across its safe space. Ziggy ran around the shed again and stuck her head underneath. Back and forth, for 15 minutes, until she was exhausted and went inside. To sit by the tub. For 5 hours so far.

So bored.

Lovely evening in Colorado. Clouds and a breeze, but still no rain and the wildfire smoke continues to be a fog over the mountains.
