Mouse #4 captured this morning. So little, definitely looks like we had mom and 3 babies. Hoping that's it, but am keeping the camera up and peanut butter out just in case.

Lazy Sunday ..

Thanks to friends on Facebook, I have 2 new traps coming on Monday. Hopefully, one of them will work. In the meantime, I put the plate with peanut butter back out so the mouse (or vole?) continues to return to our appointed spot. I did catch a Ziggy! Oops, basement closet door is now better secured.

We had a visitor again last night. This time, he came in around 9:30 pm because he was hanging around the house and I had seen the local fox during my walk. Little goofball found a pile of old catnip. He was just fine ....left at 5:30 am this morning. Ziggy was very sweet about his visit. There was no hissing on either side of the door.

Multitasking is hard.... Trying to yell at crows and magpies while keeping an eye out for the brave kitten. He had showed up on the fence by the shed! 🙀 Ziggy spent some time growling and hissing and was asked to come back to the patio. Brave kitten was asked to not invade her backyard sanctuary. .

Brand new crinkle paper! It came in a box that was delivered tonight. Ziggy was not expecting this addition to the empire - very exciting! 🙀😸💕💕💕 .

Slow start to Caturday dot time, but then Ziggy decided lunges were in order for this morning's workout 😺 .

Wall dot for your abs? This is another new game Ziggy came up with, but I am not sure I quite understand it yet. .

Box dot is the new game! 😸💖 ....but it does usually transition into carpet dot. .

The brave kitten came by this morning, as he usually does. There has been a shift in their interactions that I am hopeful about. Now that both of the brothers have met Ziggy face to face and realized she may be almost 14, but she can still run plenty fast and is almost three times their size, they have been more deferential towards her and she is no longer lashing out in fear towards them. We have also started seeing the kittens in the back yard almost daily. Still keeping a door between them based on the recent interactions and keeping a close eye out when Ziggy is in the back yard since there may also be little fuzzy visitors popping up.

So much dot time! There was a black and white cat who showed up around 2 am. Ziggy was shocked! Security on high alert! So, we have had a very busy day with 6 outside times, 2 times patrolling the garage, and so much dot time. Assuming she's not exhausted, I suppose she is ready if the cat comes back.

We spent 25 minutes with the brave kitten this morning. Overall, it went well. Every once in a while, Ziggy couldn't contain herself and she would scare him. But this was the most time spent with one of them. We've come a long way since August.

Morning dot hunt... Carpet For is still all the rage in our house.

I went out to put something in the mailbox, and came back to find Ziggy asking to go out. We spent a few minutes on the front step, and she got to boop the camera. It just seems to be what all the cool kids do. 😉

The brave brother cat brought the long-awaited shy sister cat to our house yesterday. I knew she had to be around somewhere! 🤗 He was at the door 4 other times, and even came back after the shock of my hubby opening the door and saying "hi, buddy" instead of me.

So, I have confirmed that I now have 2 stray black kittens. I estimate them to be 3-4 months old. I was able to interact with them at about a 10 foot distance last night, and then they spent from 12:35 am - 3 am running around on the front step. Hoping they will be easier to catch. @linnietodd , I was thinking of your 4 cats as I watched them.....

During an evening hunt, Ziggy finally caught one of the grasshoppers

Carpet for is still all the rage! Fast pitter pats, lunges, and even a quick bath break.

After rolling in the sun, Ziggy discovered that the path was indeed snow free. So, it was time for a rabbit check - and he was under the shed! Due to the support beams, Ziggy can't reach the rabbit's hiding place under the shed, and he declined to run out due to all the snow.
