On Thursday morning, we woke up and walked a few blocks north of the hotel to catch a bus to Horseshoe Bay. Even though it was roughly a 40 minute bus ride, thanks again to the great public transportation system of Vancouver, the trip only cost $3 each.
We arrived in Horseshoe Bay and bought tickets for the ferry. The BC ferries are huge! (much much larger than the ones we were used to on Long Island). This link shows a map of Vancouver and the ferry route to Vancouver Island.
Here's some pictures of Mike and I one the ferry as well as some of the scenery around Horseshoe Bay.
