Here are some pictures we took to show what the yard looked like before the wall construction started. (pictures go from the
southwest corner to the north side of the back yard)
I also took some pictures of our peonies. I've never been a big fan of peonies because I think they
tend to be on the messy side, but I do like the color of these a lot.
I had a friend with me while I was working in the yard. This little gray cat lives somewhere in our
neighborhood. She came to visit us as a kitten while we were hosting both sets of parents for dinner the first summer
we lived in our house, and she has been coming to visit ever since - much to Phoebe's dismay. The gray cat was feeling
photogenic, so she harassed me for a bit and I agreed to take some pictures...Seriously, I have no way of making
a cat pose like this. It was all her idea.
Meanwhile, Phoebe was pretty much oblivious to the whole scene. Here she is in three stages of sleepiness on
her favorite outdoor chair.
