Alaska Native Heritage Center
Anchorage, Alaska: June 20, 2014

We went to the Alaska Native Heritage Center in Anchorage with Mike's parents, the Lyons, and Mary Kay.

By this point, the girls had a system for pictures. Everything interesting requires
a picture of Valerie alone, a picture of Maddie alone, and then a picture with both of them.

As we got our tickets, the dancers were already getting set up. So, it was a good first stop.

MOVIES!

Dancers - part 1. AVI file, 2.8 Mb
Dancers - part 2. AVI file, 10 Mb

Headed outside to see the structures.

This one had a Mike-sized entrance....

and a Kari-sized entrance! (ok, the smaller one is an escape tunnel)

jaw bones

Alaska has Cottonwood trees, too, and they have been busy!

goofing around while waiting for Mike. have to keep myself entertained.

very cool skeleton

more cotton!

Here's Mike trying very hard to not be in the picture.

still goofing around while waiting for Mike. I was trying to figure out how to take a selfie
with something behind me (my camera doesn't have a display on the front)
... and all the practice paid off when I met my dinosaur buddy on our last day in Alaska.
