Mike and I attended the banquet dinner for the SSI Conference. You may remember that the last such dinner was held
in Kyoto in 2013, and it was announced at the end of the conference that
the 2015 version would be in Keystone, Colorado.
This year's conference dinner had a western theme, held at the Keystone Stables. With the daily rain lately, we had been worried
about the weather, but it was a beautiful sunny evening! Good food, good company, plenty of fun!

The banquet area was at a working ranch, with plenty of horses!
It was pretty hot that afternoon, so I think the drink line was the first place everyone went.
Mike is off to find the perfect spot.
All set up for a bonfire after dinner:

Time for awards. First, the science awards, which are $3,000 each.
Next, Sandrine helped with the poster awards - $100 each plus a special Thursday night dinner with
the award winners and key speakers from the conference.

For this guy, the grass is definitely greener on the other side of the fence...for now.
He's doing a good job of mowing it down.
