New Patio
Golden, Colorado: March 14, 2009

Last year, with some design ideas from Mike, I started on a project to clean up the dirt and gravel on the west side of our patio. (which you may recall we screened in for Chloe).

• extended the mini-wall - it used to align with the brick wall instead of closer to the patio doors
• dug out the area for the bench and the patio
• tamped down a gravel and sand foundation for the patio
• Mike and I placed the bench and then I put in the rocks around it

This spring, I officially finished the patio. Work on the rest of the garden area around the bench will continue through when I receive the new plants I ordered from High Country Gardens the week of May 11th. The patio blocks are concrete made to look like limestone. The block is called "Travertine".
