February 1, 2006: Crazy
2006 has a rough start for Phoebe. On January 28, Phoebe started acting strangely. We weren't sure what to make of the pout, since
she had been bugging us incessantly to go outside.
By February 1, it was clear she wasn't feeling well when she started sitting in the tub - including when
I was taking a shower. Here she is sitting in the tub:
and storming out of the bedroom because I won't let her outside:
Several vet trips and an ultrasound later, we found that she had a stomach infection and an inflammation on
the pancreas. Some antibiotics and a different kind of cat food helped her out a little, but she's still not quite her normal self.
February 6, 2006: Sitting with Mike
Mike provides a good warm place to take refuge when you're not feeling well:
unless somebody in the room insists on taking pictures because you reportedly look cute. Phoebe says, "Go away, Kari".
February 9, 2006: Face Plant
Lookng cute on her favorite blanket:
February 12, 2006: Cat on Red
What cat could resist getting in the way of the making of the bed? We call this work "Cat on Red and White":
and "Cat on Red":
February 12, 2006: Crazy but Cute
Here she is on a rampage against the poor study blinds. I tried telling her that it was cold outside, but I ended
up with a headless cat anyhow. Then, Mike tried getting her attention as she was working on a Plan B.
February 27, 2006: Cat Loaf
If one eats 4 meals and 2 snacks in a day, one might get so full that curling up to sleep isn't practical. The result is a
cat loaf.
February 28, 2006: Comfy
March 3, 2006: Face Plant
We lost Phoebe on March 5, after extended illness. It's hard to part with the sweetest munchkin in the world and her cute little pink nose.
