Two of the topics that came up when I met with Lida about improving my professional presence were
the need to make sure I am getting patterns and colors into my wardrobe, as well as to put my hair up more often for work.
Here's what I wore this week of things I already had in the closet:
Today, I went to the Southwest Plaza to use my Macy's coupons. The lady in the women's department didn't know what to tell me. I guess I threw her off by
saying I wanted to polish my image but stick with the business casual dress code at work. (Showing up in all sorts of business suits feels like it would
look a little desperate.) So, I was on my own. I bought some stuff - which I like much more than some of the faces I make in these pictures would indicate.
For more casual days... this really pleases the gypsy within.
My hubby laughed when I warned him the print he was about to see was "very New York". I'm still a New Yorker at heart,
and more skirts with boots like this may be in my future. We'll see....
and there were some things I opted not to buy.
Pulling back my hair frequently gives me headaches, but I found two things to try that might work out ok. Here they are:
(and yes, with 3 inches of rain this week, it is still really humid in Golden!)
Sometimes, you're not actually supposed to look at the camera. *grin* I think I may be queen of the goofy selfie.
These clips actually pulled less on my hair and may end up the preferred tie.
