The yard looks a little emptier now that the aspen tree is gone (it was diseased):
I am always amazed by these flowers. They're perennials - I had planted them one year,
and they quickly died. But they've come back every year since.
Shrub rose! I love these - they're the only kind I'm not allergic to.
We have 4 shrub rose bushes - 3 of this color and one in light pink.
The shrub roses had a very hard winter, but they have rebounded well this summer!
