I took the day off from work today, partially because I had just about finished my hours for the week and partially because the Prius was at the dealer for its 90,000 mile checkup. The project of the day was creating a mini-garden around the mailbox, as well as putting some new solar lights in front of the house. (The old ones have moved to the back yard.) I used plastic rocks with stakes to create the mini-garden, and plan to do a similar thing around the rose bush in the back yard. The garden around the mailox was built around some existing day lillies, and I plan to put other flowers closer to the sidewalk later this spring.
